How to read the number
The first two digits are the support category, for example 01 for assistance with daily life and 04 for assistance with social, economic and community participation. The four-digit block in the middle is the registration group, such as 0107 or 0125.
Pick the item from the time of the shift
Look at the day and the hours of the shift: a Saturday shift uses the Saturday item, a Sunday shift the Sunday item, and shifts in the evening, overnight or on a public holiday have their own items. The free invoice generator warns you when the date doesn't match the item, and Pro picks the right item from the start and finish times.
Questions
Can I charge less than the price limit?
Yes. The price limit is a maximum. You can agree a lower price with the participant in your service agreement.
Where do the numbers come from?
From the NDIS Support Catalogue, a spreadsheet the NDIA publishes with the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Price limits change each financial year, usually from 1 July.
What if a support has no price limit?
Some supports are quotable. You agree the price with the participant and invoice that amount.
